Question 1 - Why do I need to Create an Account to order?
By creating an account at ChristianScott.com you will be able to shop faster, be up to date on an orders status, and keep track of the orders you have previously made. This also allows us to keep track of our customers so we can more finely tune our website to offer better products and a better service. However, you don`t have to order to create an account with us and customers wishing to join our mailing list will also create an account.
Question 2 - What payment options do you accept?
We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Delta and UK Switch. We also can accept pre-arranged payment by Bank Cheque/Bankers Draft drawn from the United Kingdom, IoM, C.I. For some countries we will not accept credit card payment and will only arrange to send the goods if payment is transferred to us in advance. Question 3 - Is credit card information submitted during online transactions secure?
Absolutely. The Christian Scott Web site uses the latest Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology for all pages that requests credit card information. This ensures that all relevant information regarding credit card details are safely encrypted and processed only by Christian Scott. Our SSL and encryption systems renders information unreadable should anyone try to intercept it. Question 4 - What is your Returns Policy?
Every item sold by Christian Scott is unconditionally guaranteed. If you are not completely satisfied with the goods you have bought please return them to us within 14 days of delivery. You will receive a full refund, providing the goods are delivered in `as new` condition. For unwanted goods you will need to pay the shipping costs unless we have made a mistake by sending you the wrong item. Please read our Shipping & Returns Policy for more info.
Question 5 - Do you ship the the US and elsewhere?
Yes! Most of our customers are from the United States. We will ship to almost all countries except a few. There are some countries that we will not ship to unless we receive full payment in advance. Please contact us for more info at info@christianscott.com
Question 6 - What is the quickest way to get an order to me?
If are making an order during UK office hours (before 16:30 Mon/11:30 Sat.) call us with your credit card details at +44(0)1779 481750 and request EXPRESS shipping. At any other time the quickest method would be to order through our website and request express shipping during the checkout pages. We will process the order the next working day. Express shipping should arrive the next day for UK addresses, 2-4 days for Europe addresses and 2-3 days to US addresses.
Question 7 - How long does shipping usually take?
As mentioned above Express Shipping should arrive the next day for UK addresses, 2-4 days for Europe addresses and 2-3 days to US addresses. International Express Shipping outside these countries can take between 4 and 7 days. Sometimes more. However, it is our policy to ensure you receive your goods as quickly as possible and in most cases we dispatch the orders the same day or the day after the order has been placed providing we have the goods in stock. From initial postage, STANDARD delivery usually takes about 2 working days in the UK, within 5 working days to mainland Europe and the USA and between 7 and 14 working days to the rest of the world, depending on the country you reside. However, shipping times do vary and you are advised to request Express delivery if you require the goods to arrive by a certain time, in particular for a birthday present or for Christmas.
Question 8 - Do you have items for sale not listed in your website?
Most of our most popular items are available online. However, inventory may occasionally differ between stores, catalogues and our Website. Question 9 - What shipping options are available?
During the checkout process of this website you will be given the option of selecting either Standard or Express Shipping, using Royal Mail, Parcel Force or DHL, depending on the delivery country.
Question 10 - How are shipping charges calculated?
Shipping and handling charges are based on total weight and destination of delivery address. Our website will automatically calculate this for you. At present all orders within the UK using standard postage is delivered free and all international orders over £350 (net) are also delivered free unless Express Delivery is requested.
Question 11 - How is sales tax calculated on orders?
Our website automatically charges 17.5% Value Added Tax (VAT) to customers ordering from within the EU. Customers outside the EU, including the USA, will not be charged VAT.
On International shipments the recipient is responsible for any local import duties and taxes that may be charged.
Question 12 - How can I find out the status of an order made online?
When you make an order you will be asked to create an account. This will allow you to shop faster, be up to date on an orders status, and keep track of the orders you have previously made. Question 13 - Will Christian Scott sell or rent my e-mail address information to other companies?
Christian Scott does not share, sell or trade e-mail address information with other companies. Our policy is to protect this information and use it for communication purposes only. We are committed to ensuring our customers` privacy.
Question 14 -What is your Privacy Policy?
Christian Scott recognise that the consumer marketing information we maintain must be used responsibly, in beneficial ways and with respect to individual choice. We have a strict privacy policy and your name, email address and other details will NOT be given to a third party outside of Christian Scott Ltd. All information collected from us is done so for order processing and for promotional reasons and all promotional material sent from us will provide customers with notice of their ability to opt-out of Christian Scott promotional activities. We we will honour our customers` requests not to receive e-mail, mail, telephone or other solicitations from Christian Scott Limited. Information is collected from us through the ordering/registration process, through email enquiries and through our `join mailing list` form and is done so lawfully and in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998.
